LOCAL
1. CBC - this link will take you to the LOCAL page for Toronto.
2. Toronto Star - this link will take you to the GTA page.
3. Google - select News along the top links on the google home page - once the news page has loaded, enter search terms like "Toronto subway" or "Mayor Norm Kelly" or "Toronto City Council" to find news about Toronto.
4. Globe and Mail - this link will take you to the Toronto page.
5. CTV Toronto News - it has a lot of video but look for the articles.
6. Download the Toronto Star app on your phone. It doesn't sort by city, province, national or world but you can still read through articles daily to find ones that fit each week. Then email the article to yourself to print. You get ten free articles a month.
7. National Post Toronto edition.
8. Go to TCDSB Journal Databases - Select Gale In Context: Canada (a demo will be shown in class to help you navigate this site)
PROVINCIAL/NATIONAL

2. Toronto Star - go to the Queen's Park page or Canada from the menu on the left.
3. Google - select News along the top links on the google home page - once the news page has loaded, enter search terms like "Ontario Kathleen Wynne" or "Ontario" or "Canada" to find provincial or national news
4. Globe and Mail - go to the National page or the Ontario page from links along top.
5. National Post Canadian section.
6. Go to TCDSB Journal Databases - Select Gale In Context: Canada (a demo will be shown in class to help you navigate this site)
INTERNATIONAL
1. CBC WORLD news.
2. Toronto Star - take this link to World page.
3. Google - select News along the top links on the google home page - once the news page has loaded, enter search terms that have country names in them (ie if you would like to search for news about El Salvador, enter that country's name.)
